Hi Reader,

When I'm stuck, I used to push harder. Now I play a game instead.

It's called the Flow Game.

Here's how it works: You bring a burning question. So do 3-5 other players. Together, we find unexpected answers. It takes a little courage, but everyone wins.

I've hosted 30 games so far. Every time, players leave moved and with more clarity about their next steps.

Here are the next Flow Games:

PS. Quick life updates:

  1. We've just wrapped up Cohort 12 of the Shading Course. So much fun! And inspiring to see everyone's progress. It's also been great to welcome back many returning students taking the course a second or third time, going deeper each round.
  2. In other news, I recently accepted a CTO role at a meditation school. The operational complexity far exceeds my solo teaching, and I am learning a tremendous amount while building infrastructure and tools there. Looking forward to bringing this back into my own projects!
  3. My friend Patrick Devonas just finished his giant painting "Malleus Maleficarum". It's incredible. We're planning a workshop where he shares the 14+ year process of making it. Here's a section, about a third of the full image:
